The mineral water Hanácká kyselka is pumped from six wells, the deepest of which reaches the depth of 265 m below ground level. The current water has the same composition as it had when it was discovered. It comes from the depth of Palaeozoic Devonian Dolomite limestones, which are superimposed by impervious schists and neogen clays with a thickness of 30 – 50 meters and by several meters of Quaternary alluvia. The mineral water originates in the bedrock of neogen, in cracked karst Devonian carbonate rocks or the underlying bedrock, which provides the water with its high saturation of carbon dioxide. This genesis corresponds with a quite high content of hydro-carbonates and alkaline elements (calcium, magnesium, several chlorides and sodium ions).
